TNT Sports’ The Match: Superstars Special Two-Night Primetime Event to Showcase Some of Biggest Names in Sports and Entertainment — Thursday, Nov. 21 and Friday, Nov. 22, on TNT & Max

TNT Sports’ 10th installment of The Match, the Sports Emmy-nominated premier golf event series, will showcase some of the biggest combination of names from sports and entertainment in a special two-night primetime event on Thursday, Nov. 21 and Friday, Nov. 22, with coverage simulcast on TNT and Max.

The Match: Superstars will be headlined by iconic celebrities across sports and entertainment, including Bill Murray, Mark Wahlberg, Charles Barkley, Wayne Gretzky, Michael Phelps, Nate Bargatze, Ken Griffey, Jr., and Blake Griffin, competing from Breakers West Country Club in West Palm Beach, FL.

The competition format will tee off with two matches of 2-vs.-2 scramble match play for Quarterfinals, with the following pairings:
Murray/Gretzky vs. Barkley/Griffey Wahlberg/Phelps vs. Bargatze/Griffin

The event will conclude with Semifinals and Finals rounds under individual match play, with the winner walking away with a $1 million prize.

Commentator Team
Seven-time Emmy Award winner Ernie Johnson will return to host his fifth The Match event and will be joined by 2008 Masters Champion Trevor Immelman who will be making his eighth event appearance as analyst. Two-time Masters Champion Bubba Watson will serve as an on-course correspondent for the first time while Kathryn Tappen will return as course reporter for the fourth time.
Inside the NBA’s Barkley will be making his ninth appearance in the event as a player or commentator with special contributions across both roles for The Match: Superstars.

Multi-platform coverage of The Match: Superstars will also include social and digital extensions via Bleacher Report and House of Highlights, including The Broadcast Boys, Fat Perez and Joey Cold Cuts, as well as Hally Leadbetter also contributing via Golf Digest.

TNT Sports will deploy a number of technological innovations throughout the taped production that elevate the fan experience, including the Sports Emmy-nominated Cart Cam, drone cameras, and unprecedented access with participating players interacting with one another and the broadcast team via open mics throughout the course.

The Breakers Rees Jones Course — host golf course for The Match: Superstars — is located at Breakers West Country Club in West Palm Beach, FL. The Breakers Rees Jones Golf Course officially reopened on December 21, 2022, after an extensive renovation by renowned golf architect Rees Jones.
