Victory comes with a COBRA AEROJET LS driver and PUMA IGNITE ARTICULATE shoes
Detroit, MI (July 2, 2023) – Rickie Fowler has undeniable momentum this season, and it was only a matter of time before the SoCal native captured the sixth PGA Tour victory of his decorated career. He got the job done on Sunday at the Rocket Mortgage Classic in Detroit, firing four spectacular rounds in the sixties for a -24 total, forcing a playoff where he was able to edge out Collin Morikawa and Adam Hadwin to earn the highly anticipated win.
“Rickie has been with us since the beginning.” said Dan Ladd, President, COBRA PUMA GOLF, “He’s adored by golf fans around the world and loved by everyone at Cobra Puma Golf. We’re thrilled with his comeback story and win at The Rocket Mortgage Classic. We’re all very proud of not only the way he plays but how he conducts himself. He’s a class act and true role model in the sports world.”
The Oklahoma State alum made serious waves in Detroit this week, not only by sporting PUMA apparel from the recently introduced PUMA GOLF x PUMA HOOPS IN THE ROUGH collection, but by shooting four rounds in the sixties including an eight-under-par 64 on Saturday and a final round four-under-par 68 on Sunday. Fowler threw a dart on the final hole in regulation and made birdie to force a three-man playoff, eventually emerging victorious by birdieing the first play-off hole. The win ends a four year and four-month drought and represents one of the finest performances of his lengthy PGA Tour career.
“It’s hard to really put it all into words,” Fowler said afterward while holding his daughter Maya. “Obviously a lot of good stuff this year and been playing some really good golf, so I knew it was just a matter of time with how I’ve been playing. I’ve had a couple tough weekends where I had a chance. Winning is great but there is a lot more to life than that.”
Of course, Rickie carried a full bag of Cobra clubs and wore Puma Golf apparel from head to toe. Take a look below for more details.
