(PEBBLE BEACH, Ca.) — Youth on Course — the non-profit organization dedicated to transforming the landscape of golf and the lives of young people through opportunities on and off the golf course – has announced that Rick Paschal, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of TaylorMade Golf Company, has been appointed to its Board of Directors.
Paschal joins the board immediately and will contribute to overseeing the organization’s activities for a three-year term. Nominated by Board Chair Kathy Wiggans, Paschal will join 16 other passionate professionals in upholding the organization’s mission of providing affordable access to golf and bringing life-changing opportunities to young golfers across the country.
“TaylorMade’s support of Youth on Course has been a tremendous benefit to our organization,” says Youth on Course Board Chair Kathy Wiggans. “We are thrilled to welcome Rick to the Board as it further cements the connection between our two brands. His experience in golf, and his high-level experience in operations and finance, make him an outstanding fit to aid in our growth.”
Paschal brings more than 20 years of business and finance experience working with multinational firms. He played an integral role in strengthening the partnership between TaylorMade and Youth on Course while helping to elevate The DRIVE Club. Created in 2021, the co-founded initiative gives additional support to a subset of Youth on Course members with the ultimate goal of increasing diversity in the golf industry at large.
“It has been an honor to help grow the Youth on Course mission and see the impact that it has on every member,” says Paschal. “I am excited for the opportunity to serve with the Youth on Course Board of Directors, and to further our efforts in opening doors of opportunity on and off the course for our members.”
Operating across North America, Youth on Course has more than 130,000 active members. Since 2006, juniors have played more than 1.8 million subsidized rounds of golf while the organization has helped generate more than $8 million in tee-time revenue reimbursed back to individual golf courses. In addition to subsidized rounds, Youth on Course puts its members’ lives on a different trajectory by providing off-course growth and learning experiences including paid internships, a caddie program, and nationwide scholarships, with more than 300 students awarded college scholarships to date totaling more than $2 million awarded through the scholarship program.
