SNIDER CUP GOLF OPEN TO BENEFIT ED SNIDER YOUTH HOCKEY FOUNDATION
The Ed Snider Youth Hockey Foundation today revealed details for the 2022 Snider Cup Golf Open, a series of team competitions comprised of four individual one-day golf outings occurring over a four-month span at four of the Philadelphia Region’s premier courses. Proceeds benefit the Ed Snider Youth Hockey Foundation.
Golfers will have the opportunity to compete for prizes at each leg of this unique Tour de Force, as well as a grand prize, their name engraved on the Snider Cup and year-long bragging rights for the cumulative two-low net at the completion of the four rounds. This exclusive Snider Cup Golf Open is guaranteed to keep participants engaged from May through August 2022. Teams may be comprised of up to eight players but limited to just one foursome per round.
The Snider Cup Golf Open will begin in May and conclude in August with stops at Aronimink Golf Club (May 23, 2022), Atlantic City Country Club (June 27, 2021), Applebrook Golf Club (July 19, 2021), and Gulph Mills Golf Club (August 22, 2021). Each round begins with a brunch, warm up, and shotgun start and features brunch, course play, a cocktail hour where each round’s winners will be announced.

A Snider Cup Golf Open foursome, which includes access to the four events, and a Platinum Pro Shop Gift Package, are sold out, as are the premiere foursomes which include a Diamond Pro Shop Gift Package eight signed Philadelphia Flyers jerseys, four tickets to a mutually-agreed Flyers, Philadelphia 76ers game or concert, or 10 tickets to a family show, all at Wells Fargo Center.
Philadelphia Flyers alumni and notable members of the Flyers organization will be in attendance throughout the Snider Cup.

The late Philadelphia Flyers founder Ed Snider created the Ed Snider Youth Hockey Foundation with the ultimate goal to build lives and unite communities. He wanted to assure that Philadelphia’s inner-city young men and women had an opportunity to succeed in the game of life. With hockey as the hook to lure kids into the program, the emphasis was and continues to be education and character development. Snider Hockey offers supplemental educational services helping to guide its participants from crayons to careers, ultimately affording those student-athletes that graduate through the program free, four-year college tuition and room and board to one of several area colleges.
Throughout the pandemic, the Ed Snider Youth Hockey Foundation has responded by building appropriate support systems for its student-athletes offering them educational support, fitness instruction, dietary suggestions, and emotional support, as well as providing meals and books to the community at large. All efforts to maintain Snider’s vision of helping young men and women succeed in the game of life.
