EMPIRE STATE BUILDING TO HOST LPGA TOUR PRO LEXI THOMPSON FOR LIGHTING CEREMONY IN CELEBRATION OF THE DRIVE, CHIP AND PUTT CHAMPIONSHIP

WHO: Lexi Thompson, a seven-time champion on the LPGA Tour

WHAT: LPGA Tour Pro Lexi Thompson will participate in the ceremonial lighting of the Empire State Building to celebrate the upcoming Drive, Chip and Putt National Finals and start of registration for this summer’s local qualifying, open now to boys and girls ages 7-15. The 2016 National Finals will be held at Augusta National Golf Club on Sunday, April 3, the eve of the 2016 Masters Tournament.

A joint initiative founded in 2013 by the Masters Tournament, United States Golf Association and the PGA of America, the Drive, Chip and Putt Championship is a free nationwide junior golf development competition aimed at growing the game by focusing on the three fundamental skills employed in golf.
