True Temper Sports Announces Second Year Sponsorship of St. Jude Classic “Hush Y’all Paddles”

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — For the second consecutive year, True Temper Sports, the number one golf shaft manufacturer in the world, is adding its own personal touch and sponsorship to the St. Jude Classic, Memphis’ official PGA TOUR event. True Temper, headquartered at TPC Southwind in Memphis, Tennessee, is the official sponsor of the on-course signs which will be used by the marshals during the tournament June 6-12, 2011.

While many tournaments use the “Quiet Please” signs, marshals at the Memphis tournament quiet the crowd for the TOUR players using the famous Hush Y’all paddles. This year, the traditional paddle handles will again be replaced with True Temper’s Dynamic Gold golf shafts.

For more than 20 years, the Hush Y’all paddle has been a southern-style reminder for patrons of the Memphis tournament to remain quiet during play. The paddle has become such a sought after souvenir that the tournament’s merchandising tents sell out of them each year.
