(Abu Dhabi, UAE – 26 October 2023) The International Series Order of Merit (OOM) has taken on added significance for Asian Tour golfers following confirmation that many of the highest ranked players will qualify to play for places on the lucrative LIV Golf League 2024.
LIV Golf Promotions presents an exciting pathway for elite players from across the global golf ecosystem to earn their place on next season’s roster. Up to 32 players on The International Series Order of Merit (OOM) will qualify for the event taking place at the iconic Abu Dhabi Golf Club on 8-10 December.
The winner of The International Series OOM is already guaranteed a berth on the LIV Golf League roster next season. However, three further spots are up for grabs in the innovative new tournament.
The top 25 eligible players from the OOM ranked 9-40 qualify for round one and those ranked two to eight are granted a bye into round two.

How LIV Golf Promotions works
Consisting of four rounds of 18-hole stroke play, the tournament starts on Friday, 8 December with those who finish in the top 20 and ties from round one advancing to Saturday’s round two.
Scores will be reset, and the field will be joined by a category of players who automatically qualified for day two of competition. The top 20 players following round two will advance to the final day of competition, where scores will reset once more for an intense full-day, 36-hole shootout.
At Sunday’s conclusion, the top three finishers will receive highly coveted and lucrative spots in the LIV Golf League for 2024. The top three finishers will also earn prize money of $200,000, $150,000 and $100,000 respectively. Players finishing fourth to 10th will receive full exemption for all 2024 events on The International Series on the Asian Tour.

The promotion prospect
Scott Vincent secured his spot on this season’s LIV Golf League by winning The International Series Order of Merit in 2022, and the Zimbabwean has gone on to enjoy great success with Iron Heads GC this season earning more than $8m since the start of 2023
With only the top 24 players in the LIV Golf Standings securing their playing rights for the following season, Vincent secured his 2024 card in thrilling fashion at LIV Golf Jeddah with a superb T3 finish, jumping nine places from 31st to 22nd.
American Andy Ogletree is in pole position for The International Series Order of Merit 2023 title, having already won twice on the series this season in Qatar and England.
The 25-year-old has a superb chance of sealing the title with three tournaments still to play; Volvo China Open (2-5 November), Hong Kong Open (9-12 November) and the BNI Indonesian Masters presented by Tunas Niaga (16-19 November).

The 10-tournament International Series is a set of marquee events introduced onto the Asian Tour in 2022, supported by LIV Golf. The International Series has taken the Asian Tour to a range of different destinations already this season, with tournaments being hosted in Oman, Qatar, Thailand, Vietnam, England, Scotland and Singapore.
