(DALLAS) – Omni Hotels & Resorts, the official hotel partner of the PGA TOUR, is proud to announce a new partnership with rising PGA TOUR star and 2022 PGA TOUR Rookie of the Year, Cameron Young. Young and Omni Hotels & Resorts will partner together on a number of important Omni initiatives to showcase golf’s impact on and off the course, including participation in Omni’s Birdies-or-Better campaign, the company’s charitable initiative with the PGA TOUR.
“Omni is committed to offering top-quality golf experiences paired with exceptional service throughout our portfolio,” says Kurt Alexander, President of Omni Hotels & Resorts. “We believe that golf is a game to be enjoyed by people of all ages and abilities and look forward to partnering with Cam to share this story.”
“I’m honored to partner with Omni, a company that’s a big believer in golf’s bright future,” says Young. “Not only are they building the next great golf destination with Fields Ranch at Omni PGA Frisco Resort in Texas, but their mission to give back through the Birdies-or-Better campaign really resonates with me and shows our game’s unique ability to make a difference in the communities in which we play.”
Cameron Young
The Birdies-or-Better campaign is an extension of Omni’s Say Goodnight to Hunger program, which gives one meal to a local Feeding America network food bank for each stay at any Omni hotel or resort. Created in 2018, Birdies-or-Better provides four meals to a family in need for every birdie-or-better made during each PGA TOUR event.
Young, 25, finished 19th in the 2022 FedEx Cup Standings. His season highlights include five runner-up finishes, one of which occurred at the 150th Open Championship at St. Andrews. He is currently ranked 17th in the Official World Golf Rankings. A 2019 graduate of Wake Forest University with a degree in Economics, he is the son of David Young, the long-time PGA golf professional at Sleepy Hollow Country Club in Scarborough, New York.
