Golfzon Announces 2022 Golfzon North American Tournament, Largest Virtual Golf Event in the Western Hemisphere
Over $10,000 Worth of Prizes Available
(STERLING, Va.) Golfzon – the world leader in golf simulator market share – invites golfers of all skill levels to partake in the 2022 Golfzon North American Tournament sponsored by Troon Golf, which kicks-off at participating locations on Wednesday, May 25 and runs through June 25.
Billed as the largest virtual golf event in the western hemisphere, the competition will be contested at 36 commercial facilities across America, Canada and Mexico. Golfzon estimates more than 4,000 rounds of simulated golf will be played during the event. To find a location, please visit here.
The tournament is available to any home or commercial facility with Golfzon Vision software and will run on Golfzon Live Festival (GLF) gameplay mode. The format is individual stroke play at a simulated version of the famed Kiawah Island Ocean Course, host of the 2021 PGA Championship. Each player must complete at least one 18-hole round during the tournament period and can submit as many rounds as they please. Scores will be posted live to http://www.global.golfzon.com/gz/competition/main.
Golfers will compete for individual prizes totaling more than $10,000. The grand prize winner receives a new TaylorMade Stealth driver and Troon Golf National Foursome Card ($999 value), more info available here. Additional prizes will be awarded for longest drive, closest to the pin and more. Full contest details available here.
“Our North American Tournament is a great opportunity to get out with friends and family and compete against golfers from across the continent,” says Tommy Lim, CEO of Golfzon AMERICA. “If you’ve never played a round on a Golfzon simulator we invite you to come out and see why our products are considered the most innovative and realistic ever developed.”
According to the National Golf Foundation, off-course facilities drew more than 12 million golfers in 2020, a trend that is continuing to grow as more new players are exposed to the game. Part of this explosion in participation is due to bars, restaurants and specialty facilities investing in simulators as a stress-free, fun and beneficial way for golfers of all abilities to experience the sport in a comfortable environment.
Golfzon has been recognized by Golf Digest as the best golf simulator from 2017 through 2021. Unique features include a patented eight-way hydraulic swing plate with 360 degrees of directional movement to adjust to any lie, an auto-tee feature and multi-surface hitting mats including fairway, rough and bunker.
