Entities unite to create experiences bringing together college coaches, juniors and parents.
LOS ANGELES, CA – College Golf Experience (CGX), exclusively endorsed by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA), announces a new partnership with the Southern California PGA Section (SCPGA). This new partnership will provide thousands of SCPGA’s junior tour members and parents the opportunity for unprecedented access to college coaches and education about collegiate golf and the recruiting process. CGX will also host several camps in conjunction with SCPGA Junior Tour events over the next three years.
“We are honored to support the SCPGA’s junior golf programs along with its very impressive and successful junior tours where so many aspire to play college golf,” said CGX Founder Joshua Jacobs. “This partnership will create first class opportunities for players to have direct engagement with college coaches, and help guide juniors down a path to showcasing their talents and achieving their goals of becoming college golfers.”
CGX Camps offer a tremendous opportunity for young men and women ages 8-18 to learn from and interact with multiple coaches in an immersive, fun and educational setting. Campers focus on all areas of instruction with an emphasis on wedge play, engage in simulated collegiate practice and tournament rounds, learn from seminars and Q&A sessions hosted by coaches, and receive personalized evaluations.
CGX and SCPGA will also co-develop joint marketing efforts, to promote camps and sectional junior tour events together while helping to build awareness among junior golfers and their parents on how to achieve their goals.
“The SCPGA is pleased to partner with the College Golf Experience. Offering camp experiences that incorporate college golf coaches will be a tremendous opportunity for junior golfers, especially those aspiring to become collegiate student athletes. We look forward to partnering with CGX in providing those opportunities to the members of our SCPGA Junior Tour.” – Robin Shelton, PGA, SCPGA President
