Golf Channel to Feature “The Patriot Cup presented by Budweiser”

Special to be aired beginning Veterans Day through December featuringFolds of Honor scholarship families, TOUR players and celebrities

OWASSO, Okla. – Golf Channel will air “The Patriot Cup presented by Budweiser,” a one-hour golf tournament feature hosted by Folds of Honor to support the families of our nation’s fallen and disabled service members on Veterans Day (Nov. 11). The show will be replayed seven additional times with the final airing scheduled for Dec. 19.

HNS Sports Group provided event management and broadcast development for the special, which features on-course commentary from David Feherty. The broadcast will combine footage of featured golfers Rickie Fowler, Bo Van Pelt and Gary Woodland and participating celebrities including Kid Rock, TNT’s The Last Ship star Adam Baldwin, country music star Dierks Bentley and NFL quarterback Brandon Weeden, along with stories from Folds of Honor scholarship recipients.

Filmed during Memorial Day weekend at The Patriot Golf Club in Owasso, Okla., The Patriot Cup paired top PGA TOUR players, Champions Tour players and celebrities with members of the military in a Ryder Cup-style match pitting the Ground Pounders (Army/Marines/Navy) against the Fly Boys (Air Force). Folds of Honor scholarship recipients served as honorary caddies during the event.

Golf Channel is scheduled to broadcast The Patriot Cup special on the following days and times throughout Veterans Day Week and into December:
Tuesday, Nov. 11: 5 p.m. EST
Wednesday, Nov. 12: 2 a.m., 2 p.m. and 9 p.m. EST
Tuesday, Nov. 25: 2 p.m. EST
Saturday, Nov. 29: 11 a.m. EST
Monday, Dec. 1: 5 a.m. EST
Friday, Dec. 19: 1 p.m. EST
