FULL SWING GOLF SIMULATORS AND TIGER WOODS FOUNDATION TEAM UP FOR GLOBAL CLOSEST-TO-PIN CONTEST

SAN DIEGO, CA – Full Swing Golf has partnered with The Tiger Woods Foundation to present the Closest to the Pin Challenge. The contest kicks off in Full Swing Golf simulators across the globe Oct. 14, 2013 and runs though Nov. 17, 2013.

All proceeds from the Closest To the Pin Challenge will support the college access programs of the Tiger Woods Foundation, which helps underserved children gain a better education and a clear path to college.

“We’re proud that the Tiger Woods Foundation chose Full Swing Golf to create this global contest,” says Chad Coleman, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Full Swing Golf. ” The game grows by making golf more fun, engaging and accessible. We’re excited to use our platform to raise money and awareness, empowering young people to reach their maximum potential. Golf simulation plays an important role in bringing golf to kids, and kids to the game of golf.”

Tiger Woods Foundation Closest to the Pin Challenge contestants will compete for the grand prize, which is an all-expenses paid VIP Experience with a PGA TOUR pro at the 2013 Northwestern Mutual World Challenge. For $5, they’ll hit three balls at a realistic simulation of the par-3 7th hole at Pebble Beach Golf Links. The wind will be set to strong, the pin located in a difficult-to-reach position.

There will be five weekly contests running Oct. 14 – Nov. 17. The top 10 shots closest to the hole each week advance to the playoffs, for a total of 50 playoff spots. The playoffs run Nov. 18 – Nov. 24. The top winner each week will also receive a Nike VRS 56° Forged Wedge. Any hole-in-one locks in a playoff spot. Any shot within 3′ will receive free entry into Full Swing Golf’s Online International League.

The Grand Prize VIP Experience includes two guests walking inside the ropes with a select Tour pro pairing during Sunday’s final round of the Northwestern Mutual World Challenge in Thousand Oaks, Calif. (Dec. 8, 2013), hospitality in the Clubhouse, photo opportunity with a pro and an autographed gift item; two tickets to the Executive Club and deluxe hospitality on Dec. 7, two invitations to the exclusive VIP Sponsor Party at Bogie’s Restaurant on Dec. 7, round-trip airfare for two (up to $1500), and one room at a top area hotel for two nights on Dec. 6 and 7. The package is valued at $7,000.

The Challenge will run in many Full Swing Golf simulators around the world – visit http://www.fullswinggolf.com/tiger for details.
