Santa Ana, CA – February 11, 2013 – IOMIC USA, manufacturer of innovative, revolutionary and dynamically designed grips, announced today that pro staff member, Karrie Webb won her eighth Australian Ladies Masters title at Royal Pines in Gold Coast, Australia. Webb was using IOMIC Sticky 2.3 grips.
“Our Sticky grips have been very popular on the PGA and LPGA Tours and we are thrilled that Karrie was using these grips during her first victory of the year,” said Katsuyuki Murai, Overseas Division of IOMIC. “IOMIC grips continue to gain significant momentum with Tour players as we start the 2013 season. Just two weeks ago the winner of the PGA Humana Challenge used our Sticky 1.8 grips.”
Webb came from two strokes behind in the final round to finish with a 13-under-par total of 203 to claim her victory at the season-opening event on the European Ladies Tour.
“I love the feel of my IOMIC grips,” Webb said. “They are soft and tacky which helps me control the club better swing after swing.”
IOMIC Sticky grips are incredibly soft, and feature great traction and low torque. These versatile grips are suitable for all playing styles, from beginners to top ranked tour professionals. The Sticky 2.3 is the standard size grip in the Sticky series while the Sticky 1.8 is slightly smaller. Both are available in a wide variety of colors.
As with all IOMIC grips, the Sticky grips feature the revolutionary “IOMAX” technology, a proprietary compound that provides a soft feel with control. This material provides adhesiveness, is water and friction resistant and is naturally white in color which allows for a full spectrum of color – IOMIC’s signature trait.
“IOMIC has a very loyal following of tour players using our grips, with over 150 professionals on the PGA and LPGA Tours combined. While we enjoy these tour successes we also take pride in providing innovative grips to golfers of all playing abilities,” added Murai.
