TAMPA, Fla. – (Sept. 25, 2012) – The Melting Pot Restaurants, Inc., the premier fondue restaurant franchise headquartered in Tampa as an affiliate of restaurant management company Front Burner Brands, will host its third annual Melting Pot Golf Classic on Nov. 5 at Emerald Greens Golf Resort & Country Club, located at 13903 Clubhouse Drive in Tampa, to benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
The event will feature two hole-in-one contests for a chance to win one of two Lincoln MKX two-year leases donated by Parks Lincoln and Park Ford of Tampa. Other tournament highlights include player gifts from golf’s leading manufacturers, raffle drawings, a live auction and an evening program including dinner and awards.
The 27-hole tournament will be open to all players starting at 10 a.m. with lunch sponsored by Front Burner Brands’ fast-casual “beyond the better burger” concept Burger 21 to be held from 10:45 – 11:45 a.m. followed by a 12 p.m. tournament shotgun start.
Media sponsors include Brighthouse Networks, Clear Channel Outdoor and WDAE-AM 620 “The Sports Animal.”
The 2011 golf tournament raised about $44,000 for St. Jude and The Melting Pot has raised more than $6.5 million for the hospital since its partnership began in 2003. The Melting Pot’s goal is to raise $100,000 through sponsorships and players for St. Jude in the 2012 tournament.
